Gigi Zhang 张玉璇 is a London-based artist from China. After earning her bachelor’s degree in philosophy and music from Bard College in New York, she moved to London to pursue a master’s degree in photography at the University of the Arts London.
Her work explores the formation of self from various perspectives, investigating the gap between the socially defined notion of “I” and the mind’s perception as it interacts with an ever-changing environment.
Gigi’s practice is often interdisciplinary, drawing inspiration from her passion in contemporary arts, philosophy, and her personal studies of fashion.
In her commercial and editorial work, Gigi has been working with content creator Savislook, creating photography and video for clients such as Chanel, Saint Laurent, Celine, Selfridges, and Harrods.
